The story of The Beeing2gether Foundation began long before it became a nonprofit.
At just 11 years old, founder Keith Griffith Jr. discovered the world of honeybees during a time when he was navigating adversity in his own life. What started as curiosity grew into something much greater—a source of purpose, confidence, connection, and an opportunity to share what he was learning with others.
That childhood passion continued to grow.
Today, Keith is a student at Michigan State University, and the experiences that shaped him as a young person have become part of a larger mission: helping other children discover their own curiosity, confidence, and connection to the natural world.
The Beeing2gether Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to honeybee and pollinator preservation, environmental education, mental wellness awareness, and meaningful hands-on learning experiences for children and families.
Through educational programs, field trips, community outreach, and nature-based experiences, we help young people understand the important role pollinators play in our environment while encouraging environmental stewardship, personal growth, and overall well-being.
A honeybee may be small, but its impact is extraordinary.
Honeybees teach us about community, responsibility, resilience, cooperation, and the importance of every individual working toward something greater than themselves.
For us, the hive is more than an environmental lesson. It is a powerful way to begin conversations about how we care for our environment, our communities, one another, and ourselves.
Mental wellness is an important part of our mission.
Our current work focuses on non-clinical, educational, and nature-based experiences that encourage children and families to connect with the outdoors, build confidence, explore their curiosity, and discover positive ways to support their overall well-being.
As the Foundation grows, we hope to expand this work through partnerships with qualified mental health professionals and community organizations.
What began with one young person's experience with honeybees has grown into an opportunity to reach the next generation.
We believe every child deserves the chance to explore, learn, ask questions, experience nature, and discover something that may change the direction of their life.
Through the support of schools, families, volunteers, community organizations, donors, and corporate partners, we're working to make those opportunities accessible to more children.
One child. One experience. One hive. One community.
What began with Keith Griffith Jr.'s childhood fascination with honeybees at age 11 grew into a mission rooted in purpose, perseverance, and community.
Today, The Beeing2gether Foundation carries that inspiration forward by creating opportunities for children and families to experience the power of nature, education, pollinator preservation, and connection.
From one young person's journey to the next generation and the story continues.

At The Beeing2gether Foundation, we believe one experience can spark a lifetime of curiosity. Through honeybees, nature, education, and mental wellness awareness, we're creating meaningful opportunities for children and families to learn, connect, and grow.
